Our association with APQS (then known as American Professional Quilting Systems) began in 1997 when we purchased the APQS Ultimate 1 hand-guided quilting system. This machine got our business off to a flying start and we could finish our customers quilts quickly and beautifully due to its precision manufacture and its outstanding reliability. In the year 2000, APQS technicians released their first stitch-regulated machine - equal size stitches on straights, curves and into points without the need for the quilter to adjust their speed or motion. This feature dramatically cut down the learning curve for new quilters making the Millennium the most popular quilting machine. In 2005, after much research, APQS were able to retrofit the Compuquilter to their range of machines enabling existing customers to upgrade with the least expense and new owners to purchase a fully computerised system. APQS remains a family owned and run business which builds its machines from scratch in two locations only a couple of miles apart in Carroll, IOWA. This ensures the machines are thoroughly tested before leaving the factory. APQS' representatives across the world meet up each year in IOWA to improve their technical skills so as to provide their customers with the best possible information when choosing the right quilting system for them. Should you - the quilter - need technical assistance, it is available 24hrs a day via APQS' factory technicians, APQS website or via a representative by telephone or online.
